Nettlestone Primary School, near Seaview on the Isle of Wight, has been an IT customer of Navigate IT & Telecoms since 2008.
Objectives
· To provide the school with a reliable and secure IT network.
· To install a wireless network to provide flexibility for both students and teachers across the school site
· To ensure the security of data, ensuring that children’s data is protected
· Continued support including remote monitoring of servers
· To provide a telephone system capable of expansion as the school expands
· To provide low cost phone lines and phone calls
· To provide structured cabling to the school as and when required in order to provide a complete care service to the school.
Solution
· Implementation of wireless network throughout the school
· Overhaul of network configuration, security and access
· Set up of remote working for teachers
· Installation of new telephone system with expansion capability to support the school as it continues to expand
· Provision of phone lines and phone calls to provide a “one stop” service for the school – one phone number for all their connectivity questions.
Outcome
As a result of the measures implemented by Navigate IT & Telecoms, Nettlestone Primary has a secure IT system, backed up by robust cabled infrastructure, and a state of the art telephone system. As a complete care customer, the staff at the school have the comfort of knowing they only need to call one number to report any issues, and Navigate will deal with the rest.
