Latest Updates

Navigate IT & Telecoms relaunched June 18, 2010

Navigate IT & Telecoms, previously Navigate Solutions LLP and Island Telecom, have launched a new brand identity and website. New services include a computer hardware recycling service and telephone scrappage scheme.

In 2008 Navigate Solutions LLP acquired Island Telecom, a company originally set up 20 years ago by David Ward. The merged companies were able to offer Island businesses a complete IT and Telecoms solution, a first for the Island.  It has proved very successful in the past 18 months both divisions have expanded by winning new customers and taking on more engineers.

With an enviable 300 strong customer base Navigate IT & Telecoms already has a reputation as the Islands leading IT & Telecoms provider. They successfully run contracts with major Island clients, including the Isle of Wight PCT and the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.

A new service just launched with the new website is a recycling service for all your old hardware, including printers, screens, laptops and desktop computers. The service provides a secure and safe way to dispose old hardware, ensuring complete deletion of personal data and protection ensuring no data leaks. Visit http://www.navigateit.co.uk and the online calculator will ask you to select the number of items you wish to arrange for selection, work out the cost and allow you to pay with any debit or credit card.

Navigate already provide a 24-hour Remote Server Monitoring service. This acts as your virtual IT office, with problems often being detected before you know about them. There is also a dedicated team of qualified IT Engineers on call for emergencies.

Navigate will continue to provide tailored IT services including; IT support contracts, network design and build, disaster recovery services, secure wireless networks, wifi hotspots in the hospitality industry, web domains and web hosting, and competitively priced business broadband connections.

In line with customer telecoms needs, Navigate IT & Telecoms will also continue to supply Island businesses with infrastructure support and installation using its experienced ex-BT engineers and team of cablers.  Services include; telephone systems installation & maintenance, including both analogue and digital systems as well as fully integrated IP based systems, structured CAT5e and fibre optic cabling and carbon neutral business telephone lines and call packages.

In order to support the next generation of technology Navigate IT & Telecoms have also launched a Scrappage Scheme for old telephone systems against the purchase of a new system.  This allows a company who may be operating with outdated or unsupported equipment to obtain money off a brand new system, which may be otherwise unaffordable in the current climate.  The company also offers a range of leasing and financing options (subject to status).

Navigate IT & Telecoms will ensure Island businesses can access the very latest technology available to blue chip companies on the mainland, including a new generation of IP telecommunications.

“Offering a total IT and Telecoms Solution under one roof has proven extremely popular with our customers. The rebrand is the next logical step to further unite the two companies, and builds on Dave Ward’s achievement in building Island Telecom some 20 years ago. We are very excited about the future moving forward.” Paul Wood, Managing Director, Navigate IT and Telecoms
